The State of Louisiana through the Department of Highways has appealed from the judgment increasing the amount of just compensation due the defendant landowners in this expropriation proceeding. The State deposited the sum of $2,851 as the estimated compensation due the landowners because of the expropriation. The trial court increased this amount to the sum of $28,017.61, and awarded defendants $7,087...
