OPINION BY JUDGE KRAMER, August 11, 1975:

This is an appeal by George General1 from a portion of an order of the Workmen's Compensation Appeal Board, dated February 15, 1973, which offset a $7,000 payment by the E. Roseman Company against General's workmen's compensation benefits. General maintains that the agreement under which the $7,000 was paid to him was illegal under section 407 of the Pennsylvania Workmen's Compensation Act,
