Defendant Ward Jones appeals from a judgment of the circuit court of Jackson County entered after a jury found him guilty of the crime of rape.

The prosecutrix testified that she was a student at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and resided in Murphysboro. She stated she had gone to church on the evening in question and was walking home at about 7 or 7:30...
