This appeal is rooted in the filing of a petition by the juvenile officer of Jackson County alleging the environment of D.L.W. to be injurious to her own welfare because the persons legally responsible for her care failed to properly provide such care because the child had bruises, contusions, a bump on the back of the head and chin, and rib and leg fractures.
