The Metropolitan Baptist Church of Richmond, Inc. (hereafter the "Church") was incorporated in 1956 as a California nonprofit corporation for religious and charitable purposes. It was a fundamental Baptist church, and like Baptist churches generally, it was autonomous, democratic and congregational. All decisions, ecclesiastical and temporal, were by majority vote of the individual adult members of the congregation...
