Plaintiffs filed this suit against the Clerk of Court for Concordia Parish and one of his deputies for damages in the sum of $2,480 resulting from the issuance by the Clerk of an erroneous chattel mortgage certificate. Plaintiffs owned a large tractor used in their construction work.
