Mrs. Davis originally appealed from a decree of divorce as a result of Payne v. Payne, 82 Wn.2d 573, 512 P.2d 736 (1973), holding that a military pension was property subject to division in a divorce. This court remanded the matter back to the superior court for reconsideration in light of Payne. The court awarded Mrs. Davis
