The parties were married in 1960 when the petitioner, Dean Wheeler, was a freshman in the Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He was graduated in 1964. During this period of time respondent worked and contributed substantially to their living expenses while caring for their two children born in 1961 and 1963.
