Defendant was charged by separate uniform traffic citations with two offenses — driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor (ORS 483.992(2)), and driving a motor vehicle with a .15 percent or higher level of blood alcohol (ORS 483.999) — which were tried jointly to a jury in district court.1 The jury acquitted defendant on the .15 charge and convicted him of DUIL.
