This is an expropriation suit instituted by the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Highways, under LSA-R.S. 48:441 et seq. The defendants are J. W. Gordy and his wife, Merle Clack Blackman Gordy. Plaintiff deposited $1,682.00 as its estimated value of the property taken and damages.
