Spartan Grain and Mill Co. ("Spartan") filed suit in November, 1972, seeking to recover the unpaid balances owed by three defendants-appellants ("producers") for chicken feed purchased from Spartan. At the conclusion of the trial, the district judge directed a verdict in favor of Spartan on four issues; the producers, choosing not to put all their eggs in one basket, appeal all these rulings...
