Upon the agreement of his counsel, the defendant and the State's Attorney, he entered a plea of guilty to an information charging the offense of voluntary manslaughter (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, par. 9-2) and was sentenced to a term of 6 2/3-20 years to be served in the Illinois State Penitentiary...
