Defendants-appellants, William Howard Hayes and James Leroy English, were convicted of armed robbery after a jury trial in Madison County. Hayes was sentenced to from 6 to 12 years' imprisonment and English from 12 to 20 years. On appeal, each defendant contends that he was not proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and that the court erred in failing to grant a mistrial when evidence...
