The defendant, Department of Revenue, State of Louisiana, and the third party defendant, American Telephone & Telegraph Company (AT&T), appeal the adverse judgment rendered against them by the trial court which awarded plaintiff attorney's fee in the amount of $154,304.25, representing ten (10) per cent of a compromised tax and interest claim of $1,543,042.56 collected by the Department of Revenue from AT&T.
