Relator was arrested on April 29, 1975, and charged by bill of information with knowingly and intentionally possessing a controlled dangerous substance, to-wit, marijuana, with intent to distribute, a violation of La.R.S. 40:966. Before the date set for trial, relator filed a motion to suppress the evidence seized on the ground that it was the fruit of an illegal search and seizure.
