This is an expropriation suit instituted under LSA-R.S. 48:441 et seq., by the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Highways, against Wilfred Soileau. Plaintiff deposited $175.00 as the estimated value of the land expropriated. Defendant answered demanding increased compensation for the property taken and severance damages.
