Plaintiffs obtained a judgment by confession for unpaid rent against defendants by virtue of a warrant of attorney contained in a lease for a dwelling. Defendants filed a petition to open the judgment, a rule was granted thereon, depositions were taken, and argument was had before the court.

As grounds for opening the judgment, defendants alleged: (1) that the lease was not signed by the wife-plaintiff nor the wife-defendant...
