This is a diversity action in which the plaintiff sought the sum of $1,000 actual damages and $40,000 punitive damages from the two corporate defendants, Fred Jones Lincoln-Mercury of Oklahoma City, Inc., and Fred Jones, Inc., subsidiary and parent, respectively.
