CALOGERO, Justice.

Defendant, Darryl Nicholas, was charged by bill of information with committing armed robbery, in violation of La. R.S. 14:64, in that on January 28, 1974, while armed with a dangerous weapon he robbed Raymond Governale. Trial was held on February 25, 1975 and defendant was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to imprisonment at hard labor for ninety-nine years without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
