Defendant, Sylvester Ealey, was indicted for murder and two counts of attempt murder arising from an incident in which one person was shot to death and two others received gunshot wounds. On June 25, 1974, defendant pled guilty to murder. The two attempt charges were dismissed. The State recommended a sentence of 99 to 100 years. Following a sentence hearing held on July 26...
