Sherman Woodrow Dobson, appellant, was indicted by the Grand Jury of Baltimore City for a multitude of criminal offenses including the murder of James A. "Turk" Scott. Dobson was convicted, however, in the Criminal Court of Baltimore by a jury of only kidnapping, robbery with a deadly weapon, receiving stolen goods and the use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence.
