Jumonville, is a qualified elector of the Seventeenth Senatorial District of the State of Louisiana and is a candidate for the office of Senator of that district, having duly qualified for said office on August 2, 1975. In this suit he opposes the qualification of the defendant, John Wayne Jewell, as a candidate for said office on the grounds that Jewell did not qualify in accordance with law and, more particularly, with LSA-R.S. 18:397...
