Defendant was originally charged with second-degree murder, MCLA 750.317; MSA 28.549, but pled guilty before the circuit court on October 31, 1973, to a negotiated plea of the offense of manslaughter, MCLA 750.321; MSA 28.553. On December 12, 1973, defendant was sentenced to serve a term of 10 to 15 years in the Detroit House of Corrections.
