On October 29, 1973, defendant-appellant, John Zeegers, was found guilty by jury verdict of unlawful delivery of morphine sulphate, contrary to MCLA 335.341(1)(a); MSA 18.1070(41)(1)(a). He was sentenced on November 16, 1973, receiving a $1,000 fine and five years probation, the first six months to be served in the Detroit House of Correction.
