The issue of law in the instant juvenile delinquency proceeding is the admissibility at trial of a report on heroin content of a seized substance, certified by a chemist of the police department's crime laboratory, without the testimony of such chemist. This question, which must be determined herein on the same basis as in a criminal prosecution, does not appear to have received a definitive answer in the courts of this State.
