Appellant was arrested with three other individuals in a room at the Whitelaw Hotel in northwest Washington, and was charged with carrying a pistol without a license. D.C.Code 1973, § 22-3204. His pretrial motion to suppress the gun as evidence was heard and denied. The motion was renewed at trial on the basis of allegedly newly discovered evidence, and again was denied.1 Appellant thereafter was convicted...
