Appellants were indicted for assault with intent to kill while armed (D.C.Code 1973, §§ 22-501, 22-3201), assault with intent to kill (D.C.Code 1973, § 22-501), assault with a dangerous weapon (D.C.Code 1973, § 22-502), and carrying a pistol without a license (D.C.Code 1973, § 22-3204).
