Following Jeanette Vary's death on August 8, 1971, the State of Michigan and Wayne County filed claims against her estate for charges arising out of her institutionalization at Northville State Hospital. The probate court granted the state's claim in the amount of $20,084.60 and the county's claim in the amount of $3,370.96. The estate's assets consist of a single-family home valued at $10,000 to $12,000...
