On August 29, 1963, Mark Primeau, who was then nine years old, was injured when a milk truck owned by Crowley's Milk Company, and operated by Mark's father, Aubrey Primeau, an employee of Crowley, was involved in an accident. At the time of the accident, Crowley had a regulation that unauthorized persons were not allowed to ride in company vehicles, and such activity constituted grounds for dismissal.
