In Alcorn v. Rochester Zoning Board of Adjustment, 114 N.H. 491, 322 A.2d 608 (1974), which was an appeal from the denial of a variance, this court remanded the matter to the board of adjustment for a clarification of the grounds upon which the variance was denied so that the plaintiffs would not be denied their right of appeal.
