This wrongful death action arose out of the tragic crash in the Florida Everglades of an Eastern Airlines jet aircraft while on a landing approach to Miami International Airport on December 29, 1972 which killed 96 of the 161 passengers, including plaintiff's decedent. The action was initially brought in the New York state court and was removed to this court on the basis of diversity jurisdiction...
