Appellant was put to trial upon a twocount indictment charging, (1) murder in the first degree, and (2) robbery. Prior to arraignment he was found to be indigent and counsel was appointed to represent him. He pleaded not guilty. The jury returned a verdict finding him guilty of murder in the first degree and fixed his punishment at life imprisonment in the penitentiary. The jury also found him guilty of robbery and fixed his punishment in the penitentiary...
