Mr. PRESIDING JUSTICE DOWNING delivered the opinion of the court:

Norma Watkins, defendant, was found guilty by a jury of the crime of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1969, ch. 38, par. 9-1) and was sentenced to not less than 20 nor more than 40 years.

On appeal, defendant contends that the trial court erred in permitting in evidence a statement by defendant to the effect that she would burn down decedent's home and testimony of a fire there...
