Defendant was indicted, along with co-defendants Lawrence Pierce and William DeShields, Jr. for an armed robbery (N.J.S.A. 2A:141-1 and 2A:151-5) which occurred on November 15, 1971, and a first degree murder (N.J.S.A. 2A:113-1 and 2) which occurred during the course of the robbery. Defendant's plea of guilty to the armed robbery charge and non vult to the murder count were entered pursuant...
