The largest chain of motor hotels in the nation is operated under the Holiday Inn trademark. Holiday Inns, Inc. (HI), the owner of the trademark, not only licenses the trademark to franchisees who wish to operate Holiday Inns at specified sites, but also owns and manages a number of inns itself.
