Laurie Vagnini Kinnan has brought this action under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Act), 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., against the Central Telephone and Telegraph Company (Central) for unlawful sexual discrimination in connection with her employment. She alleges that Central's policy requiring female employees to take six months maternity leave beginning no later than the fifth month of pregnancy...
