OPINION

BATJER, Justice:

On May 6, 1971, a decree [judgment] of divorce was entered terminating the marriage of the parties. One of the parcels of property distributed under the terms of the decree was Parcel I1 in which the trial judge terminated the joint tenancy and ordered that the parcel be held by the parties as tenants in common, each owning an undivided one-half interest.
