This is a personal injury case that was tried on the theory of products liability. On July 18, 1970, Sovedia Villarreal was shopping in Shoppers World Grocery Store. She removed a plastic bottle of liquid soap from a display shelf and placed it in her shopping cart. She then proceeded a short distance to another display of goods.
