Defendant Russell Benfield, charged as a second offender (§ 556.280, V.A.M.S.),1 was found guilty by a jury of the offenses of burglary and stealing, § 560.110, V.A. M.S. Judgment was rendered accordingly and the defendant received consecutive sentences of eight years for the burglary and four years for the stealing, the court having made the prior conviction findings required by § 556.280(2), V.A.M.S.
