On March 11, 1972 an accident involving a 1967 Mercury and a McKenzie's Bakery truck occurred at the intersection of Almonaster and North Galvez Streets in New Orleans. The driver of the Mercury and his two passengers were injured in the collision. Donald Green, the owner and driver of the car and Lawrence Gallin, the front seat passenger, filed suit solely against the insurer of the truck, Travelers Insurance Company.
