Joe Grady Murrah appeals from the dismissal of his 28 U.S.C. § 2255 motion to vacate sentence and from the denial of his application for appointment of counsel to represent him on this appeal. The appellant basically contends that (1) he was denied effective trial counsel, (2) his indictment was faulty, (3) he was erroneously denied a preliminary hearing, and (4) the district court erred, in light of Wedding v.
