BROCK, Justice.

The appellee, Maggie B. Miles, was arrested by police officers of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, and charged with interfering with a police officer, which in the warrant of arrest was denominated "the offense of violation Metropolitan Code Chapter 34 Section 1-1."1 The penalty for this violation is a fine of fifty dollars while failure to pay it results in imprisonment...
