Defendant, Michael Odell Davis, and Wilbert Mayfield, Jr. were jointly charged by bill of information with the crime of armed robbery in violation of R.S. 14:64. Mayfield entered a plea of guilty. Davis was tried by a jury and found guilty as charged. He was subsequently sentenced to 25 years imprisonment at hard labor without parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
