In these consolidated appeals both defendants were charged with having violated Ordinance No. 138 of the City of Green Ridge, Missouri. Upon conviction in the city police court they appealed to the Circuit Court of Pettis County where, by agreement, a jury was waived and their cases were consolidated for trial.
