Defendant, the appellant, was convicted on November 14, 1973, by a jury, of three counts of uttering and publishing a forged instrument, under former R. C. 2913.01, and was sentenced to the Ohio Penitentiary for three indeterminate periods of one to 20 years each, to be served consecutively. From that judgment and sentence he appeals and sets forth the following assignments of error:
