A 27-count indictment was returned against appellant, charging him with first degree murder, armed robbery, burglary in the first degree while armed, assault with intent to kill while armed, rape while armed, and mayhem. All alleged offenses were committed over a period of three hours in the home of persons to whom appellant was personally well known. No trial was held, as a plea of guilty was entered...
