HARRIS, Judge.

Appellant was indicted and tried for the crime of rape. At arraignment, with his counsel present, he pleaded not guilty. The jury found him guilty as charged in the indictment and fixed his punishment at twenty years and one day in the penitentiary. The court adjudged him guilty and sentenced him in accordance with the verdict of the jury. He gave notice of appeal. He was found to be indigent and a free transcript...
