Appellant was convicted of murder in the second degree and sentenced to thirty years in the penitentiary. He was represented by retained counsel at arraignment and the trial in chief. He pleaded not guilty. After conviction he filed a motion for a new trial. Before this motion could be heard, new counsel was retained and he filed an amended motion for a new trial. No evidence was presented at the new trial hearing and the motion was overruled. Only...
