This lawsuit is the result of an automobile accident in which an automobile was driven into Bayou Lafourche at the pontoon bridge crossing the bayou at Valentine Plantation in Lafourche Parish, the bridge having been moved to an open position for boat traffic, and plaintiffs alleging they were given no indication by barricade, lights or otherwise that the pontoon was not in position for automobile traffic.
