Defendant is charged in a two count indictment with robbing the Boston Five Cents Savings Bank at 295 Cambridge Street, Boston on January 21, 1975. Count 1 charges a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a). Count 2, based on the same operative facts, alleges further that in "committing the aforesaid acts, [the defendant] did assault and put in jeopardy the lives of employees . . . by use of a dangerous weapon, to wit...
